5 out of 5 stars Life Saver   June 13, 2010
Michelle L. Walling (St. Louis, MO)
This was one of the first items I put on my baby registry when I started looking a year ago. It was a no-brainer that we need a seat that could be moved around the house easily (unlike a swing). We assembled it the day we brought our daughter home from the hospital and have used it every day in the 5 months since. My daughter will sit happily in it for up to an hour at a time. When she was younger, she would fall asleep in it easily but now she is having too much fun playing to fall asleep! This bouncer lives on our second floor and is the only way I can pump and shower with a happy baby! I put her in the seat in the bathroom and she is entertained long enough for me to shower AND shave. Ask and new mom and you'll know how amazing that is.
Pros:
Easy to assemble and clean. The cover comes off easily and goes right in the washer and dryer.
Easy on the eyes. Even though we have a girl, we knew we'd get tired of pink. This is really cute!
Fun for baby. My little one loves to bounce and watch the toys swing. She kicks her feet wildly and screeches at her "friends". I love that it is so simple.
Portable. It is light weight and I can easily move it around the house with one hand while holding baby. It has gone on several over-night visits to Grandma's too.
Cons:
Not a great fit for the smallest babies. The first few weeks, she looks uncomfortable because she was too small for the seat. We didn't let her stay in it long because her posture looked awkward.
Wide base. It was a really wide stance and I have kicked the base a few times, stumbling through her room in the dark.
We never use the vibration, only because it doesn't do anything for her. I wish my chairs vibrated...
Music scared her. The first few times I set the music off by pulling on the frog, she cried! It startled so badly. Now that she is older and is doing it herself she loves it.

I would buy this again and again at twice the price. The fact that it is fairly inexpensive is a great bonus. I will be so sad when we can no longer use it.

4 out of 5 stars Good Bouncer   May 19, 2010

The Fisher-Price Hoppy Days Bouncer is a good bouncer for the price. We have had this bouncer for nearly 6 months and it has held up well. Below is a list of what I like/dislike about the bouncer.
Pros:
1. Affordable
2. Easy to clean (cover is machine washable)
3. Portable & lightweight (easy to take from room to room)
4. Nice motion (vibration or rocking with your foot)
Cons:
1. The toy bar is just okay (the song the frog plays gets annoying and the other toys don't do anything).
2. I wish the hard plastic at the base of the seat was at the side or covered with more padding (my son's feet hit the plastic when he bounces himself).

4 out of 5 stars Better for Infant not Newborn   January 29, 2010

The quality of this chair is good, no complaints. The print is cute and even though i think the toys look boring my five month old loves to play with them and proudly pulls the frog to hear the music. It allows me to take a shower while he plays! But he did not like this chair until about 3 months old. Before that it was uncomfortable, his head was bend forward in a weird way. We are definitely using it now, but i wish i would have gotten a bouncy that was more infant friendly so i could have used it longer..

5 out of 5 stars Great bouncer   January 17, 2010
L. Olson (USA)
Overall this is a great bouncer. We bought it used but even at full price (~$35) I would consider this a good buy. Here are some pros and cons:

Pro:
-great price, cheaper than others
-vibrates, some out there do not, this is a great feature (vibration is just right, not too strong as I've read in other reviews)
-toy bar is removable
-battery is easy to replace (single DD battery) - also lasts a long time
-headrest is removable/washable
-pattern is super cute - although now I see "green meadows" as a pattern and think that is much cuter

Con:
-legs on bouncer are a tripping hazard (only for it seems, not for my husband) - it appears they are similar to legs on most bouncers though
-music from frog is very "high-pitched" and can get a bit annoying

3 out of 5 stars Good for Little Ones, Needs a Few Improvements   January 16, 2010
Evan's Mum (SD, CA)
This bouncer was absolutely essential when my son was a newborn. The vibrations were great, and he loved the soft bounce made by a nudge from my husband or me. Unfortunately, he is outgrowing this at just around 15.5 lbs and 26 inches. The 3 point harness is just too short, and my guy is not big for his age (<30th percentile). In addition, now that he kicks a lot, he slams his heels on the front metal bar and vibration unit. It makes a hard thump/clank, and we worry about him hurting his feet.

Pros:
- great for newborns through 3-4 months
- good vibration
- very easy to remove cover and machine wash
- cute colors
- like that the toy bar is removable

Cons:
- straps too short, even when fully extended
- music is nothing special
- front bar too hard/short

Would I buy again? Yes. For the price it is a good bouncer.
