This is the best gift ever! July 13, 2010 Nina Riggs This was my son's fifth birthday present. He was so excited! And, unlike most gifts that get tossed aside after a day, he still plays with his Queen car every day. I know the price is high, but compared to other similar toys, this is very reasonable and most definitely worth it. It drives great. Even my 12-year-old was able to ride in it at full speed. My advice - stop searching now. You found the product you want.
Fun March 20, 2010 I. C. Eguia (El Paso, TX) My 3 year old loves it! It took us about a month to break it in since the pedal was a bit hard and even though he is not strong enough to push it hard, the car took off very fast. However, after many tries it finally loosed a bit and now he is having a great time riding it.
Lightning McQueen battery powered car. March 7, 2010 Russell Edgar Townsend (MUSTANG, OK, US) Great purchase, my little grand daughter loves the car, Purchase couldn't have been any easier
or better. Very pleased with the service and the speed at which it was shipped to me.
Basically good little car, could use more details for the price. February 20, 2010 E. Foldes (Arizona) We bought this car for my 4-year old daughter for Christmas. She is obsessed with cars and with the movie "Cars" as well, so of course it was an instant hit. After 2 or 3 outings in it, she got the hang of it, coordinating the acceleration, steering and shifting. It goes at a pretty swift clip, so it keeps mommy and daddy in shape as we run alongside and in front, keeping a watch for traffic. It also looks fabulous: Neighbors stop and stare, and the bright red color, accentuated with multi-colored decals, is not only sharp, but good for safety and visibility. Now for the cons: We live in a hilly area with smooth blacktop, and my first disappointment was that the cheapo plastic tires slipped and skidded all over the place on the blacktop: I had to fabricate special rubber treads and cement them to the rear tires to give her better traction and control. It's 100% better now. Fisher Price should seriously consider switching to real rubber tires, at least on the rear (the car is rear-wheel drive). Second, there is too much play in the shifter, so from looking at it, you can't tell whether it's in forward or reverse: It often looks like it's in reverse when it's really in forward. Third, why not give the car opening doors? My daughter has to pretty much "fall into" the seat after clambering over the door-edge. She enjoys opening and closing the doors on our family car, so I think she would love real doors, as well as the convenience it would provide. Fourth, the "engine brake" (the car stops when you lift off the "gas") works fine for most situations, but on steep hills (which we have) the car can still roll forward or backward: A real pedal-actuated brake system, in addition to the engine brake, would be a big plus, and a good safety feature. As my final gripe, it would be cool if the car had an opening "trunk" for my daughter's junk.. She loves to travel with "stuff" (stuffed animals, books, you name it).. and we always have to tell her she can't bring anything with her, since there's only enough room in the cockpit for her. So there you have my wish list: Rubber tires, a stiffer shift lever, opening doors, a brake pedal, and a trunk. THEN you'd have a truly fabulous car. But when it comes down to it, these are MY beefs, not my daughter's: I've never seen her smile bigger or laugh harder than when she's blasting down the street in her very own sports car!! It's yet to be outdone as the best toy we ever bought her.
